Not quite what I had expected it to be. The back part of the case had scratches on it when I took it out the box. (On the inside part of the back cover). It's not screen protector friendly either. Will have to see how it goes to determine if this case is actually worth it or not.

Phone Case
I expected something with a front face on it. Instead I paid 80 for a case without a front.
Not worth that amount of money. It can't be "Life Proof" without something protecting the face of the phone.
Find something else!!

Excellent first try
I have had the Pixel 3XL case for 8 days. In that time I have dropped the phone twice and of course sustained no damage. I previously had the LifeProof case for the original Pixel and that was an outstanding case. My only disappointment with the new case is the lack of waterproofing and cumbersome charging port cover. Not being waterproof is a substantial limitation in a place like Wisconsin where we are regularly near or on water, or dealing with significant rain. This limitation did not exist with the prior case. The new charging port cover is awkward and appears destined to eventually fail as I am forced to twist a piece of plastic bending an unhinged element out of the way. With the prior cover, and it's nearly indestructible hinge, you were able to access the charging port in a much simpler and quicker way. Additionally, the prior port cover allowed for the waterproofing color which this case does not.
Finally, both cases lacked any friction pads which would have prevented them from sliding off smooth surfaces. Although the LifeProof case has securely guarded both my current and prior phones against drops, some of the drops are due to the smooth case sliding off smooth surfaces.

Not Quiet What I Expect From A LifeProof Case
I bought this case out of impose, didn't bother reading the product discription and didn't bother reviewing the reviews prior to purchase. So part of this review is my fault because it wasn't the case I was expecting.
Overall first impression on day one, I feel this case makes the phone way to bulky, and the materials feel quite cheap, but durable. My instant expectation when bying a LifeProof case is that it is going to have some level of waterproofing, not just protection from dust and slight dampening. I can by 3 or 4regular 10 to 20 dollar case for the protection that this case provides like others have mentioned in previous comments.
I will say that If I read the product discription prior to making the purchase, I probably wouldn't have purchased this product. But, if I was looking for a case that doesn't give you the full LifeProof experience, I my have picked this product up.
Not to self, read the product discription carfully and read the reviews prior to making your purchase.

Great Case...BUT
Always loved the Lifeproof case and have had them on several different phones. However, what's missing from this Lifeproof case for my Google Pixel 3XL is the screen protector that has come with other Lifeproof cases for other phones I've had. This case doesn't have one and I didn't see an option to have a Lifeproof case with the screen protector. Maybe that's something Lifeproof can add in the future.

Have purchased two lifeproof cases in the past for previous phones and loved them. They provided total protection to my devices. So when it came time to buy this case for my phone I trusted the fact that the case would fully protect my phone. I was wrong. If you are looking for a case to protect you phone from life, this isn't it. Unlike previous lifeproof cases I have bought this case doesn't even cover your camera or screen. This case does the same thing as any other cheap case you can buy, but it costs twice as much. This case is life resistant at best, can't recommend buying, because it isn't actually going to protect your phone. This is the last time I will blindly trust the lifeproof brand. If your thinking about buying this case, don't do it. Save your money and buy a cheap shock resistant case.

Epic failure.
Ordered thinking I was getting a flagship 3-pc iece case that had a screen protector for $80. Had so much brand loyalty and trust in lifeproof that I felt I didn't even feel the need to read description or specs or see pictures.
Was let down when I received what was essentially a one-piece case that I could have bought at Walmart for $1 from the clearance aisle. The case was such a downgrade from I'm used getting from lifeproof that I felt insulted being charged $80 for it.
Returned the case nearly a month ago and am still waiting for the funds to hit my bank account.
Instead I gave them money for an Otterbox Defender (lifeproof and Otterbox are same co.) that ALSO HAD NO SCREEN PROTECTOR AND IS NOT Waterproof, but is a true three piece case that suits a flagship phone. Lifeproof has lost a lot of respect and loyalty from this consumer.
Such a shame.
