Military Standard 810G-516.6
The US Military Standard for drop and shock protection. It requires that your LifeProof case physically withstand the drops, fumbles, vibrations and bumps you encounter day to day.
IP-68
The international standard for Ingress Protection (IP). 6 and 8 are the highest ratings for solids and liquids. IP-68 rated cases withstand circulating talc for 8 hours and water immersion to 6.6 feet / 2 meters for 1 hour.

Best phone protection available
This is the 2nd Lifeproof case I've owned. The last one lasted about 3 years of rough use. How can you beat that? My phone survived falls, puppy teeth and many a splash. This is simply the best phone protection that you can buy.

This is my second FRE
I first purchased my FRE almost four years ago, and pretty much wore it out.
The cover for the charging port would no longer click shut and the rubber edging started peeling off.
I do a lot of hunting and fishing so my phone is constantly outdoors in all types of weather, and carried in a protective case most of the time. The phone is always being pulled in and out of the case which wears on the silicone rubber.
I recently ordered the exact same FRE to replace the old one and know that I should get another four years out of it.
Living in Florida we get plenty of rain and the FRE has done an excellent job of protecting my phone in thunderstorms and even two hurricanes.

Rough n tough all over.
Love this case. Its exactly the type of protection my phone needs. Im an over the truck driver. Ive dropped my phone from 4ft and higher. Absolutely no damage visibly to the phone. The case takes it. All kinds if incliment weather its awesome. My phone has been dropped in puddles of water, snow. Its survived rainstorms. It is truly the ONLY phone case i recommend. It truly does live up to its claims. Tried and true.

I have had my LifeProof for over a year and the charger clip piece has broken and will not close. Since it has been over a year, is there any warranty left on this?
