I purchased a Lifeproof case for my iPhone 4 almost 4 years ago. I'm VERY careful with my phone even with the Lifeproof case, but it has protected my phone from drops, falls (me falling with the phone), dirt and wetness. I'm an endurance athlete and take my phone on long bike rides and runs. It's nice to not have to worry about my phone while out in the elements. I used to hate making sure I always had a plastic bag in which to stick my phone while out running or going to the beach. I have two complaints about the case. The first is having to use an adaptor for the headphones. Not the worst thing in the world, but it can be inconvenient. My second complaint is that this year, the case has suddenly started to disintegrate. The rubber on the sides and top corners of the face has started peeling off. The rubber covering the silencer button is gone and the door over the bottom port totally broke off. So, my phone is no longer "Lifeproof" and I'm having to be a lot more careful. If my phone was newer, I'd probably just buy a new case, but at 4 years old, it's pretty much a dinosaur technologically speaking. As soon as Lifeproof comes out with a case for the iPhone 6, I'll buy a new phone and a new Lifeproof case!
