I've had the LifeProof case for my iPhone 4 for about a year. Just purchased the case and cover/stand for my iPad about a month go.
The case was easy to water test and put on.
Couple of things though: it is not easy to screw and unscrew the headphone cover. I use the the adaptor and headphones quite a bit as this has my replaced my work laptop when on the road. Sound with the headphones is fine. Also, using FaceTime, Skype the sound is fine too. No complaints there. However, the sound is a little muffled when playing music. Streaming Netflix, sound is fine.
I agree with a previous poster, that I wish the case could snap onto the back if the cover once you move it. Otherwise you just have to set it down somewhere. Not a big deal, just not convenient. However, the stand works great in both modes, upright to watch videos, or prop up on your desk, and down on the lower setting for typing. I was wondering If I miss my Belkin case and wireless keyboard, but having the naked iPad screen in landscape mode I can type just as fast.
My iPad has stayed dry and safe in the hands of my toddler, which is the main reason I got it, as he likes to use the iPad as much as I do. I have not tried to take it underwater for videos or pics, but I do download library books and read in the tub quite a bit, so I don't worry about it it being around water at all.
Overall. Great product. Expensive, but expected, when you by more expensive tech toys, you kind of expect to pay more for their protection and durability. I would recommend to a friend if asked.
