- LifeProof nüüd case for iPad recognized for outstanding design and engineering -
SAN DIEGO – November 13, 2012 – LifeProof, the award-winning maker of all-protective, everyday cases for smartphones and tablets, announced today that it has won the CES Innovations 2013 Design and Engineering award for the LifeProof nüüd case, the only protective case manufactured for the Apple iPad that is water proof, dirt proof, snow proof and shock proof. The award was presented by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)®, producer of the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the world’s largest consumer technology tradeshow.
The LifeProof nüüd case for iPad allows users to take their iPad anywhere and everywhere without worry. LifeProof received the CES award based on its unique design, which includes innovative materials, fabrication processes and patent-pending technologies. The LifeProof nüüd case protects the iPad from water, dirt, snow and shock with a totally naked screen that does not interfere with its beautiful retina display. Every feature of the iPad is fully accessible and functional, including the volume controls, silent / screen lock, sleep button, home button and access to the charge and sync connector port, as well as unrestricted interaction with the screen.
“The LifeProof nüüd case lets people enjoy their iPads everywhere they go, just as Apple intended,” said Gary Rayner, CEO of LifeProof. “We are honored to be recognized by CEA for engineering the considerably difficult technological breakthroughs that give everyone the freedom to go anywhere and do everything, in any environment, with their iPad.”
The LifeProof nüüd case for iPad represents the latest innovation in the company’s industry-defining LifeProof cases, all of which undergo independent lab testing to meet military standards for shock and impact protection, and for IP-68 rating for water, dirt, and snow protection. Accessories for the LifeProof nüüd case for iPad include Shoulder and Hand Straps, a floating LifeJacket, and a Cover + Stand.
LifeProof will showcase the winning product from January 8-11, 2013, at The Venetian in Las Vegas, Nevada, in booth #6606 at the 2013 International CES, which the CEA predicts will be the largest app event in the world. Honorees will also be displayed at CES Unveiled: The Official Press Event of the International CES from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday, January 6, in the South Seas Ballroom C at Mandalay Bay.
