LifeProof is dedicated to bringing you the latest technology in high quality waterproof and shockproof iPhone cases and accessories. Your LifeProof case and LifeProof accessories boast a full 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee policy. All LifeProof products may be returned within 30 days of purchase, to ensure that customer satisfaction is made on every purchase.

Your LifeProof products are warranted for 90 days. For the LifeProof case, your warranty may be extended up to 365 days by validating the warranty. If a material or workmanship defect arises and a valid claim is received within the Warranty (90 days) or Extended Warranty (365 days) Period, LifeProof will replace the case or accessory only. Warranty validation and extension includes the steps of registering your purchase, watching various informative videos, and filling out a questionnaire thereafter. LifeProof cannot be held liable for damages to personal property due to misuse or improper care and maintenance of case and O-ring seals.

Policies

Purchase using Credit Card

When you place your order using a credit card, LifeProof authorizes your purchase by verifying that your card has the available funds. Your credit card provider sets aside those funds so you may not spend them on anything else. LifeProof then "captures" or takes the funds for purchased items only after they ship. Please note that if your purchase does not complete for any reason, such as your card being declined by our Card Processor or your bank, the set-aside funds may continue to be unavailable for you to spend for several days, but will not be taken by LifeProof.

Purchase using PayPal

When you place your order using PayPal, the purchase amount is deducted from your PayPal-associated account immediately.

Return and Exchange of LifeProof Products

We will accept returns within 30 days of the original purchase if the product was purchased directly from LifeProof. Credits will be issued in the form of a refund to the Credit Card used for the original purchase. Refunds are for product only, as shipping charges are non-refundable for non-warranted returns.

You will be asked the reason for your return and you will need to provide your original order number. Accordingly, please have this information easily available.

You will receive your Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) via e-mail which will include your RMA# as well as instructions for the return.

Accordingly, to return an item you must notify LifeProof within thirty (30) days of receipt of your order to obtain a return merchandise authorization (RMA). LifeProof cannot accept packages without an RMA number. RMA number must be clearly marked on the outside of the box. The product must be received by us, in the original condition, with a full description of why the merchandise was returned, with respect to the product(s) with-in fifteen (15) business days of the notification. We will refund your merchandise purchase price, less shipping and a 15% percent restocking fee. We will not accept merchandise returned COD or returned without an RMA number. All parts returned must be in the original and resalable condition in the original packaging. You must use an insured carrier service with a tracking number. Please provide us with return information when available. Refunds should appear typically with-in 5-7 days on your credit card statement. Returning a product without an RMA number waives our responsibility of having to issue a refund, even if proof of delivery is available, due to our inability to match your purchase with the return; consequently leading to your loss of both the merchandise and any refund.

Please allow 5-7 business days after receipt of your return for your credit to be issued. You will receive an e-mail confirmation of the credit once it has been issued.

Liability

LifeProof shall not be liable for any consequential, incidental and contingent damages arising from, but not limited to, the sale, installation, use or repair of its products. LifeProof warranty does not, under any circumstance, cover the replacement or cost of any electronic device or personal property inside or outside of the case. Notwithstanding any other provision of this agreement, LifeProofs' maximum combined liability shall be limited to the cost for the specific product only.

Damaged Items

Inspect your parcel carefully. If you receive an item damaged, notify the delivery company immediately. Do not discard any of the box, shipping label, packing material, or broken items. The delivery company must pickup the damaged goods and provide you with a claim number. You may provide us the claim number so we can follow up on the claim status - this may take up to several weeks. We are unable to send our replacement items until the claim is approved, or a payment is made for the 2nd shipment. We will issue a refund to your account promptly upon receiving reimbursement from the shipper.

Backorders

Backorders will be shipped when they become available. Some items may require prepayment.

Delivery Delays

Some items in the store may not be in stock and may have to be provided from our factory. Therefore, the shipping method you have chosen only pertains to merchandise leaving our location in San Diego, CA to your desired destination. Delivery from our manufacturer to our San Diego location is sometimes unpredictable. If your product is knowingly delayed for any reason we will try to contact you, otherwise the product will ship as soon as we receive it.

Guidelines for Appropriate Use (GAU)

The Warranty described below is only valid if the following guidelines are met:

  1. Save original purchase receipt or packaging slip;
  2. Complete online warranty registration on our site;
  3. Watch instructional videos on our support site for appropriate use and pre-testing of product, and sign the electronic attestation thereby attesting that the instructional video has been viewed in its entirety;
  4. Follow the instructions set forth in the instructional video so as to pre-test the product and confirm the product's ability to proof against water prior to use of product.

 

Warranty

TreeFrog Developments, Inc. ("Company") warranty obligations for the Company product(s) you have just purchased ("Product") are limited to the terms set forth in this document as well those set forth in the Warranty section of the company website. Company warrants: (i) if the Guidelines for Appropriate Use (GAU) are followed the Product will perform substantially in accordance to the specifications furnished by Company; and further warrants: (ii) the Product against substantial defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period one (1) year from the date of original purchase ("Limited Warranty"). This limited warranty is non-transferable and covers only the original end purchaser. An original or copy of a sales receipt from the original sales retailer or Company website and On-line affirmation of the GAU is required for warranty validation and service. This limited warranty does not cover products purchased through non-authorized dealers and/or online auction websites. Non-authorized dealer receipts and/or online sales auction confirmations are NOT accepted for warranty verification. Warranty claims must be made directly to the Company.

Exclusions and Limitations

Company's limited warranty applies only to the Product. The warranty does not apply to any non-Company product, even if packaged or sold with the Product. This warranty applies only to the normal use of the Product, normal wear and tear excepted, in accordance with written use instructions provided with the Product in writing and through hyperlink to the GAU instructions provided in the Warranty section of the company website. This warranty does not apply to damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, acts of God, or modification of the Product.

Sole and Exclusive Remedy

Your sole and exclusive remedy for a breach of this limited warranty, and Company's sole and entire liability is, at Company's option, to repair or replace the defective Product or refund the purchase price of the defective Product within thirty (30) calendar days. Repair or replacement (including parts and labor as well as reshipping costs) shall be made at Company's expense. Company reserves the right to send you a replacement product that is the same or of a similar style or a substitute equivalent that may not be of like kind (depending on availability). Replacement products will be furnished only on an exchange basis. Replacement products are warranted as above for the remainder of the original applicable Product warranty period.

Warranty Disclaimers

EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY SET FORTH ABOVE IN THIS LIMITED WARRANTY, THE PRODUCT IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" BASIS AND THE COMPANY MAKES NO OTHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW AND SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMS AND EXCLUDES ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. IF SUCH DISCLAIMER OF ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY IS NOT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DURATION OF ANY SUCH IMPLIED WARRANTIES IS LIMITED TO THE DURATIONS SET FORTH IN THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY MAY LAST, SO SUCH LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS WHICH VARY FROM JURISDICTION TO JURISDICTION.

Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL COMPANY ITS DISTRIBUTORS OR SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF THE PRODUCT, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, PROPERTY DAMAGE, LOSS OF VALUE OF THE PRODUCT OR ANY THIRD PARTY PRODUCTS THAT ARE USED IN OR WITH THE PRODUCT, OR LOSS OF USE OF THE PRODUCT OR ANY THIRD PARTY PRODUCTS THAT ARE USED IN OR WITH THE PRODUCT, EVEN IF COMPANY HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. COMPANY HAS NO LIABILITY FOR ANY DAMAGE OR DESTRUCTION TO CONSUMER ELECTRONICS DEVICES OR OTHER PERSONAL PROPERTY THAT ARE IN THE PRODUCTS, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, LAPTOPS, CELLULAR PHONES, OR OTHER HANDHELD DEVICES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA CONTAINED IN THE FOREGOING DEVICES, ETC. NOTWITHSTANDING ANY DAMAGES THAT YOU MIGHT INCUR FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ALL DAMAGES REFERENCED HEREIN AND ALL DIRECT OR GENERAL DAMAGES IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE) OR OTHERWISE), THE ENTIRE LIABILITY OF COMPANY AND ANY OF ITS DISTRIBUTORS AND/OR SUPPLIERS SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT ACTUALLY PAID BY YOU FOR THE PRODUCT. SOME STATES AND/OR JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

Obtaining Warranty Service

If you have followed the GAU and wish to make a claim under this warranty with respect to the Product, please e-mail support@lifeproof.com with the following information:

  • Attach photo of original purchase receipt or packaging slip.
  • Product SKU.
  • Purchase date.
  • Brief (300-450 characters) description of problem.
  • A telephone number and e-mail address at which you can be reached during normal business hours.

All of the above information is required before a warranty claim will be accepted. Once Company validates your claim, we will issue you a RMA (Returned Merchandise Authorization) receipt number and shipping information from support@lifeproof.com.

 

Dispute Resolution

LifeProof agrees to provide all reasonable methods to resolve any disputes or discrepancies. You also acknowledge and agree that you as the Authorized User or the Cardholder will not initiate any chargeback or claim procedure with our Merchant Bank or your creditor without obtaining a special confirmation number from us to verify that you provided us with the opportunity to resolve the claim or dispute, even if we were unable to provide a resolution.
